Choosing the Wedding Gown

There are many types of gowns to choose from. Some brides plan on wearing their mother's dress, others want to choose that special dress that no one has seen, and one that makes them look their best. Some brides want something traditional and simple, while others want something extravagant. Most brides love trying on wedding dresses, but it can become overwhelming if you try on too many. Some brides want lace, or beaded appliques, others want sequins and lots of bling. Choosing the right style may be the key to finding the right dress for you. A bride may choose the A-line style because it can hide a fuller lower body or create the illusion of curves on a narrow frame. A Sheath style is more unforgiving, because it tends to hug the body and show any and all of your curves. The Ball gown is ideal for slender or pear-shaped figures as the full skirt helps to accentuate the waist and hide the lower body. The Mermaid style is a very sexy look that highlights a woman’s curves and should be chosen by very confident brides who want to show off their curves. The empire style is chosen for its raised waistline that sits just below the bust, from which the rest of the dress flows down and it can cover larger bust women. Every bride deserves to feel special in their wedding dress, including plus size ladies. Today wedding dresses may come with supportive straps, flattering silhouettes, and pretty details to make you feel confident and comfortable on your wedding day. Happy hunting!
