Choosing the Venue

Choosing the place you are going to have the wedding and reception can be exciting but very tiresome. For the last week, we have been out looking at different types of venues. We have looked at Country Clubs, Plantation houses, Privately owned barn style Wedding Venues. Whatever you are into Shabby Chic, Elegant, Classic there are venues to suit your style. Before settling on a venue, you need to check on their options; such as:

1. Do they cater there? What? Prices?

2. Do they allow outside caterers?

3. Can you choose inside or outside for the actual Wedding?

4. Do they provide tables, chairs, pews?

5. Do they provide linens, chair covers, decorations?

6. How many people can they accomodate?

7. Do they charge one set price or charge for every single individualized item?

8. Do they have Wheelchair accessible ramps and restrooms?

9. Do they help clean up afterward?

10. Do they charge by the hour or by the day?

11. Do they allow you to have a rehearsal there the day before?

12. Do they provide lighting?

13. Do they have a room for the bride, bridesmaid, groomsmen and groom to dress?

14. Do they have sound system there, piano?

15. Do they have a coordinator to help coordinate the wedding itself?
